     (John) Scott Elverhaug

		Postscript from Steve Frick 7/21/11:

Many times I flew with Scott and his Dad, Erling. His Dad always
made a big deal about going through his checklist before take offs
and I thought he was a very good pilot. On Sunday morning, November
24th, 1968 they flew down to see Skip (Mrs. Elverhaug) and after
seeing her they (Scott, Jeff, Suzie and Erling decided to fly back
even though there was heavy cloud cover in Rochester. Erling was a
good pilot, but he didn't have his instrument certification - - so I
don't know why he was allowed to take off. The plane nose dived and
crashed in a field shortly after takeoff and they all died. Skip
recovered from her knee surgery, but she had lost her entire family.
She moved to California. She died about ten years ago and I went to
a funeral they had for her in Minnesota. At Mrs. Elverhaug's funeral
I saw some of their old neighbors and after 30 years - - we all
hugged each other and cried. Scott and his wonderful family are
			truly missed.
